Kyrgyzstan Entrusts MPs with Changing Anthem

The Kyrgyz government has confirmed the commission that will work on changing the country's anthem, Orda.kz reports, citing 24.kg.
The interdepartmental commission includes eight deputies. They must propose three versions of the new anthem and submit them to the Zhogorku Kenesh for consideration. This is planned to be done by April 2025.
The idea to change the anthem was proposed by the speaker of the Kyrgyz parliament, Nurlanbek Shakiyev.
He asserted that the current version was adopted after the country left the USSR.
It should be such that all citizens can easily sing it,Shakiyev said.
His proposal was also supported by the president of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov.
