Prosecutor General Berik Asylov has proposed introducing a compulsory subject titled “Law and Order” in Kazakhstan's schools starting from the seventh grade, Orda.kz reports.
Writing on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Asylov said the initiative aims to prevent serious crimes and offenses often committed by teenagers due to a lack of awareness.
We have proposed an important initiative to the authorized body - to introduce a compulsory subject 'Law and Order' in schools starting from the seventh grade. It can be taught by practicing lawyers and veterans of the bodies in order to share not only knowledge, but also life experience, said Asylov.
He added that students could pass on this knowledge to their families and neighbors, contributing to stronger law and order in society.
Asylov’s idea echoes President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev’s remarks at the IV session of the National Qurultay, where he stressed the need to foster a patriotic, educated, and creative generation under the “Adal Azamat” concept.
