Oil exports through the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) will decrease by about 6% in April compared to March, Orda.kz reports, citing Reuters' Moscow bureau.

According to the otulet's sources, CPC plans to ship 1.6 million barrels per day (approximately 6.2 million tons) this month, down from 1.7 million barrels per day in March.

A court in Russia had ruled against halting the operation of two launch mooring units (VPU), which were the subject of claims following a Rostransnadzor inspection.

However, as recently as April 7, only one VPU was operating at the CPC marine terminal in Novorossiysk.

Despite this, CPC’s April plan for exporting Kazakhstan's oil remains largely unchanged at 5.8 million tons. Reuters notes that no adjustments were made to account for the limited VPU availability.

Russian oil shipments, meanwhile, are expected to decline due to drone attacks on oil infrastructure in February and March.

Although the Novorossiysk court overturned the suspension of VPU-1 and VPU-2, the timeline for their full reactivation has yet to be announced.
