The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has conveyed its concerns to Ukrainian authorities regarding the drone strike on infrastructure belonging to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), Orda.kz reports.

However, officials declined to disclose further details of the discussions.

Deputy Foreign Minister Alibek Kuantyrov addressed the matter briefly during a press conference at the Majilis.

Our concerns have been conveyed to the Ukrainian side. They know this. You know yourself that there have been corresponding attacks, including drones, on this infrastructure. The situation here is clear. CPC is operating in a normal mode. We export our oil. In the event of similar incidents, we will, of course, raise this issue,
Kuantyrov stated.

The Deputy Minister did not elaborate further:

“We're in touch with them. Thank you,” he responded, before refusing to continue the discussion, “Next question.”

Earlier this spring, a Ukrainian drone strike targeted the Kavkazskaya oil pumping station, part of the CPC infrastructure. Debris from the downed UAV reportedly damaged a pipeline between storage tanks, causing a fire.

A second UAV strike later targeted the Kropotkinskaya station of the consortium.
