Explosion at Ridder Thermal Power Plant: Six People Injured

An incident occurred at the Ridder TEC enterprise on December 21 at 4:39 am, Orda.kz reports, citing the city Akimat.
The Akim of East Kazakhstan region, Yermek Kosherbayev, is at the scene.
Six people were injured, all of them are in hospital, their condition is stable, said the regional head.
The Akimat says the incident occurred during scheduled repair and installation work on the belt conveyor section of the Ridder TPP.
During welding work, a dust-air mixture exploded without further combustion. The Ridder TEC enterprise is operating as usual. The temperature in the houses remains within normal limits, the Akimat reported.
The outside temperature in Ridder is minus 4 degrees.
JSC Shygys Jylu specialists check and adjust the city's heat supply system.
A temporary slight drop in pressure in the network is possible, The Akimat said.
