EU Adopts 15th Sanction Package
The European Council has approved the 15th package of economic sanctions against Russia related to the war against Ukraine, Orda.kz reports.
The restrictions also apply to organizations from China and officials from North Korea.
The European Council has reported that the latest sanctions target 30 companies and 54 individuals.
Among them are Russian military personnel responsible for the attack on the Okhmatdit Children's Hospital in Kyiv, as well as top managers of several energy companies and propagandists.
The list also includes two high-ranking representatives of the North Korean regime.
This package of sanctions is part of our response to weaken Russia’s war machine and those who are enabling this war, also including Chinese companies,Kaja Kallas, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
The sanctions mainly targeted Russian defense industry enterprises, shipping companies responsible for shipping oil by sea, and even one private airline.
The Chinese companies mentioned supply parts for assembling drones and microchips to Russia.
Russian oil tankers have also been targeted. The list of vessels now banned from European ports has expanded to include 52 names. These vessels are formally not Russian but registered in third countries.
The total list now includes 79 items. However, no information is available on whether any are registered in Kazakhstan.
