Coins Believed to Be Tied to Kairat Satybaldyulyuly to Be Auctioned
Nine pieces of jewelry and collectible coins, with a combined starting price of ₸67.3 million, are being offered for sale, reports Orda.kz.
A second round of electronic auctions for these assets will be held on July 30, 2025, via the E‑Qazyna platform. According to the Asset Recovery and Management Company, the listed collection includes:
- Troops of Chinggis Khan commemorative coin (₸500, in a black case)
- Two silver Chinggis Khan coins (925 purity)
- Bata silver-colored coin (₸50, vacuum-packed)
- Betashar coin
- Four Suyindir coins from the “Rituals and National Games of Kazakhstan” series
All items are in mint condition and preserved in protective cases.
The auction will be held online, with participation permitted from anywhere in the world. Interested buyers must register, make a deposit, and apply by the deadline. Organizers promise full transparency, including access to detailed descriptions and asset valuations.
The coins are believed to be part of assets previously confiscated from Kairat Satybaldyulyuly. In 2024, Kazakhstan’s General Prosecutor’s Office reported that, under a procedural agreement, 174 luxury items—including jewelry, branded watches, and collectible coins — were returned to the state.
At that time, Satybaldyulyuly also handed over assets valued at ₸18 billion, including business centers in Almaty, property in Astana, Rolls‑Royce and Aston Martin vehicles from the UAE, and US$95,000 in cash.
Over a 2½‑year period, he returned property totaling ₸783 billion.
