The Trump administration has approved the sale of $50 million worth of weapons to Kyiv through direct commercial sales under the Defense Commercial Sales (DCS) program, Orda.kz reports, citing The Kyiv Post.
The outlet cited its sources. The specific weapons to be sold to Kyiv were not disclosed.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine intended to purchase air defense systems and weapons from the U.S. worth $30–50 billion as a guarantee of future security.
Between 2015 and 2023, the United States provided Ukraine with nearly $1.6 billion in defense articles for purchase. Following Trump’s 2025 inauguration, the administration temporarily suspended new arms and military service approvals to Ukraine, pausing sales under the Direct Commercial Sales program.
