Regulator Approves Vyacheslav Kim’s Acquisition of Jusan Bank

The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market has officially issued permission to Vyacheslav Kim, the richest businessman in Kazakhstan and the main co-owner of Kaspi.kz, to purchase Jusan Bank, Orda.kz reports.
The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market confirmed that they permitted Kim to acquire the status of a major (indirect) stakeholder in First Heartland Jusan Bank JSC.”
First Heartland Jusan Bank JSC is one of the largest second-tier banks in Kazakhstan. As of May 1, 2025, the bank's assets amount to 3 trillion 195 billion tenge, equity capital - 900 billion tenge. In terms of assets, the bank ranks sixth, in terms of loan portfolio - eighth in the country's banking system, the agency noted.
Vyacheslav Kim, who ranks first in the official Kazakhstan Forbes list, has already confirmed his intention to acquire a controlling stake in Jusan Bank.
In February, information surfaced that he intended to become the main owner of Jusan. At the end of May, the bank announced a rebranding and will now be called Alatau City Bank.
