More than a hundred residents of the Ptitsefabrika dacha community blocked the road leading to the bridge to Podstepnoye village, Orda reports, citing Moi Gorod.
Truck drivers use this road to bypass the city. A power outage triggered the protest.
People claim that the electricity debt accumulated due to the actions of the former Gardening Association Chair, and they refuse to pay for others' debts.
The Zachagansk Akim and Oral Prosecutor arrived at the scene.
They convinced the protesters to leave the road. Officials promised that "ZapKazREK" would restore power while the investigation into the former Chair's actions continues.
According to preliminary information, the electricity supply was restored.
However, some protesters remained at the site, demanding further clarification.
