Conscript Homicide Case: Dosov Handed 13 Years

The Astana Military Court sentenced Lieutenant Damir Dosov for the homicide of conscript Marat Barkulov, Orda reports.
Judge Tamara Korolevskaya delivered the verdict:
The court finds Damir Dosov guilty under Article 99 (Part 1) of the Criminal Code. He is sentenced to 13 years in medium-security prison.
The court stripped Dosov of his Guard Lieutenant rank.
The court also reviewed a civil suit from Asia Barkulova, the victim's mother. She will receive 20 million tenge in moral damages compensation, down from her requested 50 million tenge.
