AZAL Plane Crash: Awards Presented to First Responders

In the Mangystau region, those involved in the response to the air crash in Aqtau were honored with state awards for their professionalism, courage, and commitment, Orda reports.
By presidential decree, Nurdaulet Kilybay, the Akim of Mangystau Region, presented awards to the operation participants.
Three representatives of the fire service and specialized fire department were awarded the Aibyn Order of III degree named after Rakhimzhan Koshkarbayev:
- Olzhas Baytore – firefighter-rescuer of Fire Station No. 12;
- Seribolat Ongar – brigade commander of Fire Station No. 12;
- Marlen Sarkenov – Senior Firefighter-Rescuer of Specialized Fire Department No. 1.
The following people were awarded the "Yerligi Ushin" Medal (Medal for bravery – Ed.):
- Kozhabek Allabergenov – Ambulance driver of the Disaster Medicine Center Branch in Mangystau Region;
- Manas Bagitov – Rescuer of the Operational Rescue Team;
- Alisher Yestemes – Second Pilot of Kazaviaspas JSC;
- Askhat Kudabayev – Aircraft Commander of Kazaviaspas JSC;
- Zamanbek Kubaydullayev – Paramedic of the Disaster Medicine Center Branch;
- Ospan Orazbekov – Doctor of the Disaster Medicine Center Branch;
Zhan Yesen, a psychologist at the Disaster Medicine Center's branch, received the "Yeren Yenbegi Ushin" Medal (Medal for Distinguished Labor—Ed.).
In addition, employees of fire departments and medical institutions received letters of gratitude from the president. These people played a crucial role in responding to the plane crash and rescue operations.
These awards acknowledge the professionalism, dedication, and courage of everyone involved in managing the disaster, whose efforts played a crucial role in ensuring the safety and protection of the region's residents, the Ministry of Emergency Situations emphasized.
68 individuals received awards, including 24 employees of the Department of Emergency Situations and 44 representatives from various sectors across the region.
Murat Mukhanov, Head of the Mangystau Region Department of Emergency Situations, presented the awards on behalf of the Minister of Emergency Situations, Major General Chingis Arinov.
