New Details Emerge in the Qaraganda Police Station Incident

The condition of the district police officer involved in the Qaraganda incident has improved. He remains in intensive care, but his life is no longer in danger, Orda.kz reports, citing the regional channel Patriot.
The patient is in serious but no longer critical condition. There is positive progress, the regional health department’s press service stated.
The major is expected to be questioned in connection with the criminal case surrounding the death of a 23-year-old woman.
As previously reported, on the night of October 1, a man and the body of a young woman were discovered inside a Qaraganda police station. The woman was found naked and lifeless in one room, while the police officer lay unconscious in another — reportedly due to a suspected drug overdose.
The deceased woman left behind a four-year-old son. According to preliminary reports, she was acquainted with the officer. Her family is now awaiting the results of a chemical toxicology examination, which will determine the cause of death.
It has also been revealed that the major is a seasoned officer with previous experience as an investigator in Temirtau. The investigation is being carried out under the personal supervision of the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.
