Ridder: Confusion Arises over Messages about Boiler Station
In Ridder, elementary school children were transferred to distance learning due to severe frosts. In the morning, nursery teachers warned parents that the radiators could get cold due to an incident at the boiler station.
Meanwhile, heating engineers confirmed problems with the boiler house, but the Akimat assures that the thermal power plant operates as usual. An Orda.kz correspondent investigated.
Residents of the Second and Fourth districts of the city, which are served by the boiler station of the Tishinsky mine under the management of L-TVK LLC, received the following message:
Dear parents. Due to the emergency situation at L-TVK and the drop in temperature, children will not be able to attend today.
It later turned out that there had been a mix-up. Almost all nurseries were notified of issues with the heat supply.
However, the situation arose not at the thermal power plant but at the Tishinsky mine boiler station.
A malfunction of the lower collector of the side screen was found in one of the three boilers of the Tishinsky mine boiler station, which is serviced by L-TVK LLC. The coolant supply temperature may decrease from 95 degrees to 71. No shutdown for consumers is planned. Currently, all boilers - 1, 4, 5 - are operating in normal mode. The pressure is normal. The malfunctions will be fixed within four or five hours,
reported the director of L-TVK LLC, Alexander Popov.
People still spoke of apartments getting colder.
It was 19 degrees in our apartment in the morning. We didn't take our child to the nursery, turned on the electric heaters, and we were sitting there warming up, said Natalia, a resident of the Fourth District.
The city administration has assured us that the Ridder thermal power plant is operating as usual and that there has been no incident.
Four boilers are in operation at the Ridder CHPP main equipment. These are three medium-pressure boilers No. 1, 2, 3 and one high-pressure boiler - No. 6. The fourth boiler is in reserve, the CHPP is operating stably, there are no emergency situations. To date, there have been no complaints from consumers about the temperature schedule being disrupted, commented the acting director of the Ridder branch of JSC Shygys Jylu, Askhat Bukatov.
However, there were still talks about houses in areas receiving heat from the CHPP being "underheated."
Reportedly, the supply temperature is from 70 to 80 degrees, which is insufficient in frosty weather.
According to the CHPP temperature schedule, the supply should reach 105 degrees.

The contradictory information puzzled parents. The Ridder Education Department clarified:
On December 10, 2024, pre-school organizations will operate as usual. Due to the drop in air temperature, some preschool organizations allowed children to attend at the discretion of parents. The cancellation of classes only applied to students in grades 0 to 4.
In November, we wrote about utility incidents caused by snowfall in Ridder. First, there were problems clearing the road, and almost the entire city was left without water.
Meanwhile, the breakdown at the Tishinsky mine boiler station has been fixed. According to L-TVK, the temperature regime in the heating networks will gradually increase.
