Concept for The Transport and Logistics Potential of Kazakhstan Developed

The Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development came up with a concept for the development of the country's transport and logistics potential in 2022. The document was approved on February 2.
A year ago, at the first India–Central Asia summit, President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev noted the great opportunities and capacities of the trade infrastructure. He said that the main priorities should be the further development of trade and economic cooperation and the establishment of transit and transport links between Central Asia and India.
Being the Minister of Industry, Kairbek Uskenbayev announced this concept. In 2022, he announced that the project provides for the development of the Dostyk — Moynty railway section, the Darbaza — Maktaaral railway line, the Bakhty — Ayagoz line, a bypass line bypassing Almaty, automobile and railway stations, and airports. They also discussed the renewal of rolling stock, while taking into account the priority use of Kazakhstani products.
At the beginning of February 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development promised to implement the concept in a timely manner. It is expected that this will ensure affordable, safe and inclusive mobility, as well as strengthen the country's competitiveness on the way to becoming a transit hub.
